Sam graduated in 2020 from Appalachian State University, with a bachelor science industrial design, concentration in furniture design. Promptly after graduation, he traveled from North Carolina to Arizona in order to pursue a job designing and building pool tables in Scottsdale. Since then, he has brought his skillsets to a diverse collection of jobs, including shipping container home fabrication, camper van conversions, and commercial/residential cabinetry.
As of 2026, Sam is taking commissions and projects of primarily furniture and cabinetry. He builds and designs these pieces at Phoenix Forge, a community maker space in the heart of Phoenix, AZ, whilst also instructing members on design and woodworking fundamentals.
